- I am an independent game producer. Like an agent, that means I am supposed to negotiate and know people. However, I have nowhere near as many clients, and I also do design and pitches and can have ownership in the IP.
Like many indie producers from other fields, I go long periods without cash and then suddenly drown in it. I supplement my income with consulting gigs, usually to do with everything I described above, but also sometimes coding gigs.
I was a coder on Doom and Quake and for a brief while Battle for Middle Earth. I produced Abuse and Spy Kids Challenger. I designed ER Critical Condition. I am currently doing producerly and design work on Band Together, Beakiez, Abuse Classic, and other unannounced projects.
